Dear Papa Activity Ideas

Write a letter to someone you haven't seen in a long time. Include stories about your life. Be sure to ask questions and they may write back.

Think of a character from a favorite book. Write a letter as that character to someone else in the book. As a class activity, have characters from different books pair up to write letters back and forth.

Talk with a grandparent or older neighbor. Ask them about their childhood. What would you like to know about that time period and their life? Make up a list of questions ahead of time.

Think about a person you miss. Make a list of memories like the one Isabelle and Ian made on Papa's birthday (see September 19, 1944).
